Para el año 2013 se conforma un nuevo grupo de investigación llamado LACSER, el cual fue reconocido y categorizado en la convocatoria de COLCIENCIAS 693 de 2014. Para el año 2015 en la última convocatoria de medición de grupos de Colciencias, el grupo fue categorizado en C. A continuación se presenta la información del grupo de investigación de la Facultad de Ingeniería de sistemas.
